Experiencing
Homelessness CALL 211

211 is a free and confidential information and referral help line with operators that will listen, identify underlying problems, and connect people in need with local resources and services to improve their lives.

Call 2-1-1 Get Connected, Get Help with Homelessness

In a crisis, in a disaster, in a pandemic, 211 is here to help every person in every community find food, pay for housing and bills, and connect to other essential services.

The 211 Helpline will reduce non-emergency calls to 911 as well as reduce the burden on service providers by helping people find the right solution in one call. This approach helps reduce the time agencies spend redirecting calls to other agencies and enables them to spend more time addressing needs of their own clients. Over time, 211 reduces the ultimate cost of services and makes sure dollars are spent most efficiently.

211 is powered by real people — trained specialists who work to identify and address the root causes of a client’s problem. That means from the first hello, someone in crisis is reaching a real person who can provide a connection to help.
